I felt that I didn’t have any excuses not to make the Naomi coat,Burda Stylepattern that was inspired by my idea and worn by Naomi Campbell. I really enjoy how it came out, although it wasn’t very easy! It makes a nice summer cover-up.  Originaly I wanted to make it nautical; blue and some white accents, but while fabric shopping I saw this natural tone cotton with white and gold stripes, I Knew it was ment for my Naomi. Since I already spend some time searching for the shell and ship pictures for my nautical embroidery I decided to apply them as well. Overall I think this way is better than my original idea.

Alden Coat- Short Version

 Alden Coat

This is a short version of the Alden Coat from BurdaStyle.  I also added ruffles here and there and instead of lining I finished the edges with pink bias tape.p1010004c.jpgp1010012.jpgp1010018.jpg

Green Jacket

Green JAcket

This jacket is made from green corduroy using an old Burda pattern which I modified. I ruffled up the front under the bust and the sleeves. The jacket has a front zipper.

This jacket needed just few final stitches that I made during a brake from working on my unfinished projects list. Many details of this jacket were inspired by BurdaStyle  Jj’s coat that was posted some time ago. (Jj’s inspiration can be seen in her How To#206: http://www.burdastyle.com/howtos/show/206 ” It is made of silk cashmere + interlining + brown lining. Parts of it were knitted using patterns from my old Polish knitting book.

Now, I go back to my unfinished projects.
